Imran Khan Reportedly Loses Vision in Right Eye Amid Allegations of Medical Neglect in Prison
Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has allegedly lost 85% of the sight in his right eye as a result of medical neglect in prison. According to Khan’s lawyer, named Salman Safdar, who made the announcement to the Supreme Court, the loss of vision occurred as a result of a clot that formed in the former leader’s eye due to the jail authorities’ failure to provide specialized treatment for months, only administering simple eye drops to the former leader. Contrary to what had been claimed in earlier times by government officials, stating that Imran Khan was in good health but had undergone a minor procedure in January, the legal team of the former leader has painted a rather dismal picture, stating that their client lacked decent living conditions and experienced much food poisoning and isolation. To rectify the situation, the court has since ruled that Khan be granted access to his personal doctors and speak to his sons over the telephone.
